This was an interesting project. I don’t usually build websites using an existing theme, but that was the client’s request so I obliged. It worked out and their bill was under 2k, which was nice for them. I installed the Bridge theme on Pantheon, did some initial theme setup, and then asked the client to take Read More: WordPress Development | Medical Website
This project was basically complex theme hacking. I hate theme hacking because I have to deal with all the bugs/nuances of other people’s work without the benefit of being familiar with the whole codebase. It was fun to get a little more experience with Shopify. A couple challenges were getting the color thumbnails on the Read More: Website Development | Shopify Development | Fjallraven
I did a guest lecture Tuesday night at Ignition, a coding school run by Spark Boulder that prepares students for their first coding internship. It was fun and I learned a lot about how to improve lecturing abilities. I also got a lot of good questions and one question that I didn’t think I answered well Read More: Selectors in JavaScript – IDs, Data Attributes, or Classes

I was given access to the old site and a charge to re-create the whole thing, except the scheduler (which was ported over by Randy Lybert). This was a fun project because I tried to build Read More: ClearChoice Migration

It’s taken me a while to post this project because I like to wait till they go live; however, it looks like this project was put on the back burner after I pretty much completed it. I had a lot of fun building this app. It had to be totally responsive and the hover state Read More: Reebok Last & Limited Calendar
The best thing about this project was learning to pull an image stream from Instagram using a hashtag. This turned out to be easier than I thought it would. The only snag was getting the new Instagram videos to load and play correctly.
This project got me out of my comfort zone a little bit. Another developer had done some of the initial design for this app and then it was handed off to me to re-write it for a significantly different design. Wading through the code was a little intimidating, but I figured it out and delivered Read More: Brunton Power Calculator App
Buink is a great place to work, as well as a great place to have quality software written. I originally contracted Buink for some web development, and it worked out so well we began working together on many different projects. Definitely an honest transparent company that needs to be considered for your software needs.
Response from the owner: Thanks for the kind words Dave!
